Southeast Alumnus Named MTNA National Finalist

Jordan Redd, a 2016 Southeast graduate with a Bachelor of Music in horn performance, has been named a national finalist in the 2018 Music Teachers National Association Young Artists Brass Competition. He will compete as one of seven finalists in Orlando this March. The competition requires performers to win at state and regional levels before advancing to the national competition. Redd competed against brass players from all over the West Central Division, including a recent doctoral graduate from the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory of Music and Dance.

Men’s Basketball Hosts SIUE on Take a Kid to the Game and Youth Basketball Day

Southeast Missouri’s men’s basketball team hosts SIU Edwardsville (SIUE) on Saturday, Feb. 17, at 4:15 p.m. Saturday is Take a Kid to the Game. Kids 14 and under are free with an adult. It is also Youth Basketball Day with a halftime dunk show. All games are broadcast live on the radio at ESPN 92.9 FM and Real Rock 99.3 FM. Video can be accessed online at the OVC Digital Network. Baseball Opens 2018 Season This Weekend

Southeast’s baseball team opens its 2018 season with a three-game series at the College of Charleston this weekend. The Redhawks open the series at 3 p.m. today, Feb. 16.
