Southbound N. Park Ave. Closed June 22-25 Between Broadway and Normal

Submissions for Convocation/SE 101 Packets Due July 12

To help welcome new Redhawks to campus, New Student Programs provides students attending Convocation and SE 101 sessions on Aug. 17 with a folder full of information from various campus departments that will assist them in their transition to campus and make them aware of available opportunities. Examples of past items have included coupons, colorful flyers and bookmarks. All included items should have mass appeal to new students. To include something in this year's packet, contact New Student Programs at nsp@semo.edu with details of the item you would like to include. Football Alums Connolly and Roth Open Performance Center in St. Louis

Former Southeast Missouri football standouts Dan Connolly and Ryan Roth recently opened D1 Training, a World-Class Performance Center in St. Louis, Missouri. D1 Training, a leading fitness concept that utilizes the five tenets of athletic-based training to help people of all ages achieve their sport and fitness goals, will be opening in Ballwin as the first D1 in Missouri. The St. Louis West D1 Training location is owned and operated by Connolly and Roth who will join a vast group of existing D1 Training franchisees including professional athletes such as Super Bowl MVP Von Miller, Tim Tebow, Chipper Jones and Peyton Manning.

Volleyball Hires Carly Thomas as Assistant Coach

Southeast Missouri hired Carly Thomas as an assistant volleyball coach on Tuesday, June 19. Thomas joins the Redhawks after spending a year at Missouri State. She will coach the setters and be responsible for travel, film exchange, home match management and academic development, among other duties.

Baseball to Host Series of Camps

Southeast Missouri's baseball program will host a series of camps in August and October. SEMO baseball camps offer an opportunity for players to receive valuable instruction on the fundamental skills of baseball. Organized games between campers will provide a competitive outlet for specific drills that have been practiced. Drill progressions will be aimed towards recognizing and developing good habits in all aspects of the game.

Dirden Named to ABCA/Rawlings and NCBWA Second-Team All-Region Teams

Justin Dirden was named to both the ABCA/Rawlings and National Collegiate Baseball Writers of America All-Region Teams. Dirden, a second-team selection, finished his first year at Southeast with a .340 batting average and .989 fielding percentage. He had 68 RBI, 72 hits and led the Redhawks in home runs (16), walks (30) and slugging percentage (.665).
