N. Fountain St. Closed Between Broadway and Bellevue

On Monday, July 16, Dutch Enterprises began work on a water line on N. Fountain St. between Broadway and Bellevue St. A detour is provided, and drivers are asked to used caution around this work zone. The closure is expected to last through Thursday, July 19.

Suicide Prevention and Awareness Conference July 19 at Show Me Center

The Community Counseling Center will host the fifth annual Suicide Prevention and Awareness Conference from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. July 19 at the Show Me Center. The conference is designed for anyone who has been affected by suicide, wants to learn more about preventing suicide, is a professional who works in the mental health, counseling, education, and/or business professions or other disciplines that deal with people struggling with mental wellness. Redhawks Add Guard Oscar Kao

Southeast Missouri added guard Oscar Kao to its 2018-2019 roster Monday, July 9. Kao (6'0", 175) spent the 2017-2018 season at Marshalltown Community College, where he averaged 13 points a game as a freshman. He shot 44.3 percent from the field and 39 percent from behind the 3-point line earning second-team all-region honors.

Volleyball Earns 11th Consecutive AVCA Team Academic Award

The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) has named the Southeast Missouri volleyball team recipients of the annual AVCA Team Academic Award for the 2017-2018 season. This is the 11th consecutive year the Redhawks have received this recognition. Southeast volleyball registered a 3.30 cumulative GPA this past academic year.
