Westbound Normal Avenue Between Pacific, Henderson Closed July 30-Aug. 3

Normal Avenue will be closed to westbound traffic between North Pacific Street and Henderson Avenue for street repairs July 30-Aug. 3. It is anticipated the City of Cape Girardeau will post detours, and traffic is encouraged to avoid the area. The closure is expected to last until Aug. 3 depending on weather and work.

Oklahoma National Guard Conducting Training at Show Me Center, Cheney Hall Aug. 1-2

The Oklahoma National Guard’s 63rd Civil Support Team (CST) will be conducting chemical and biological hazard training Aug. 1-2 at the Show Me Center and Cheney Hall. As part of the training, military vehicles, equipment and personnel will be on Southeast’s main campus conducting and participating in various exercises. During this time, parking lot 4-6, north of Cheney Hall and adjacent to Parker Hall, will be unavailable. Faculty and staff are encouraged to park in parking lot 4-5, across Henderson Street from Parker Hall. Any questions or requests for additional information are referred to Southeast’s Department of Public Safety at (573) 651-2215.
