Changes in Equipment Capitalization and Tagging Procedures Announced

Effective July 1, 2018, equipment items purchased which meet the following criteria will be included on the departmental fixed assets inventory: Equipment valued at $5,000 or more and with a useful life of at least two years; and laptops, MacBooks, iPads, phones and power tools which are considered sensitive items and if they have a value of $1,000 or more. Items that were purchased in years prior to July 1, 2018, will continue to remain on the departmental fixed assets inventory. Online Teaching Academy Now Accepting Faculty Applicants

The Online Teaching Academy (OTA) is a special opportunity open to 25 faculty members yearly. The OTA offers faculty a series of five topical master classes that are facilitated by national experts and focus on one of five areas in the online teaching equation. In addition, participants work in small teams to address and explore a topic related to online teaching and learning. The teams will share their projects at OTA. OTA participants are included in the annual Online Teaching Showcase and are eligible for the Provost’s Award for Excellence in Online Teaching. Terry Named to STATS Walter Payton Award Watch List

The preseason watch list of 25 players was announced last week for the 2018 STATS FCS Walter Payton Award. Southeast Missouri senior running back Marquis Terry is the lone representative from the Ohio Valley Conference on the initial list. The Heisman of the FCS, the Walter Payton Award is a revered award.

Gordon Elevated to Associate Head Coach

Adam Gordon was elevated to Associate Head Coach of the Southeast Missouri men's basketball program on Wednesday, Aug. 1. Gordon assumes his new role after spending the last three years as an assistant coach on Rick Ray's staff.
