Carpe Diem Informational Meetings Sept. 19-20

Carpe Diem, Southeast's annual celebration of cultural diversity, will be held from 5-9 p.m.  Saturday, Oct. 27, in the Student Recreation Center East Gym. Southeast faculty, staff and students are invited to volunteer for the event through a variety of opportunities, including hosting a cultural booth, cooking a dish, performing a cultural music or dance piece, participating in the fashion show and much more. Informational meetings will be held noon-1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, and Thursday, Sept. 20, in the University Center Redhawks Room. Volunteers for the Oct. 27 event are asked to fill out the Carpe Diem interest form here.

Elevators Down in Dempster Hall

Both elevators in Dempster Hall are out of service today, Sept. 14. While repairs are being made, the second floor of Dempster Hall is inaccessible for those with mobility concerns. The first floor can be accessed from the main entry on the Henderson Street side of the building. The lower level can be accessed from an entry on the north side of the building. At this time, it is not known when the elevator repairs will be complete. Those with questions are asked to contact Southeast's Disability Services at (573) 651-5927.

Southeast Bookstore Closing Early Today

Southeast Bookstore will close at 3 p.m. today, Sept. 14.  The bookstore will reopen at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15.

University Marketing Offers Web Editor Training Sept. 27

University Marketing is offering web editor training at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 27. This training will give participants the skills to make simple updates to their department, program or organization websites in the University's content management system, OU Campus. Football Faces Rival Southern Illinois in 'War for the Wheel' Saturday

Southeast Missouri and Southern Illinois hook up in the first edition of the “War for the Wheel” on Saturday, Sept. 15. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. at Saluki Stadium. This year marks the 86th meeting between the two teams. Starting this season, the winner will take home an authentic ship’s wheel.
