University Community Receiving Reminder to Complete Branding Survey

This is a reminder that selected students, faculty, staff and friends recently received a survey via email asking for their thoughts on University branding and messaging. If you have not yet completed it, a reminder survey will be emailed to you today from research@ologie.com. Ologie, the Ohio-based firm tasked with reviewing the University branding, is administering the survey on behalf of the University. If you are invited to complete this survey, please do share your thoughts and opinions. The opinions of Southeast current and prospective students and University employees are vital to helping us shape the Southeast brand for the future. Ologie will use this research to refresh the enrollment brand strategy. We anticipate this work will be completed and shared with the University community in early December. Thank you for taking interest in this important University initiative.

IT Implements New Banner Interface

A new version of Banner is now in production. Banner 9 is primarily a new implementation of the Banner interface, which means the look and feel of Banner has changed. Navigation in Banner and the forms to retrieve and update data are new. How Banner stores and processes data has not changed. The new interface is more intuitive and modern and no longer requires Java to be loaded on the computer. It is strongly suggested that the Chrome browser is used to access Banner. Banner 8 will no longer be supported by Ellucian and will be removed by Nov. 23. A short overview of Banner 9 is available in the Skillsoft training library. Search for "Banner" after logging into Skillsoft. For more information, contact the IT Help Desk at (573) 651-4357 or helpdesk@semo.edu.
