Cashier's Office Departmental Deposit Changes Effective Dec. 1

Starting Dec. 1, all departmental deposits receipted through the Cashier’s Office must include a completed Cashier Transmittal Form. Any deposits received after Dec. 1 without the Cashier Transmittal Form will be returned to the depositing department without being receipted. This policy applies to all departments. Southeast Hosting Southeast District MoDOT Bridge Competition Nov. 15

On Thursday, Nov. 15, more than 400 high school students from 39 area high schools will compete in the annual Southeast District of the Missouri Department of Transportation Bridge Competition. The purpose of the competition is to promote interest in civil engineering among high school students. Writing in the Disciplines Speakers Series Continues with 'Writing and Engineering' Nov. 16

Arts Council Hosting 48th Annual Arts and Crafts Extravaganza Nov. 17-18

The Arts Council of Southeast Missouri will host the 48th Annual Christmas Arts and Crafts Extravaganza from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Nov. 17 and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 18 at the Show Me Center and the Osage Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. The fair will feature more than 300 art and craft booths selling handmade items such as baked goods, home decor, art, clothing and jewelry. Admission is $5 and allows access for both days and both locations. The Extravaganza is sponsored by several community organizations, including Southeast Missouri State University's Rosemary Berkel and Harry L. Crisp II Museum.

Football Still in the Playoff Hunt

Despite its heartbreaking loss to Murray State, the #23 Southeast Missouri football team remains in the playoff hunt for an at-large bid. With a win over Eastern Illinois on Saturday, Nov. 17, SEMO will finish with eight NCAA Division I wins at 8-3 overall. So far, five FCS teams, including Colgate, Kennesaw State, Jacksonville State, North Dakota State and San Diego, have secured their league's automatic berth. Five more automatic qualifiers and 14 at-large selections are to be determined. The entire 24-team field will be revealed during the NCAA FCS Selection Show on ESPNU on Sunday, Nov. 18, at 11:30 a.m.

Swift Named OVC Defensive Player of the Week
