'Take-Away Friday' Continues March 29 with 'Mindfulness and Teaching'

The Center for Scholarship in Teaching and Learning (CSTL) continues the "Take-Away Friday" series of faculty development presentations at noon March 29 in the Jean Ann Whitaker Model Classroom in the EDvolution Center, Scully Room 209. Dr. Missy Phegley, director of composition and assessment at Southeast, presents "Mindfulness and Teaching." Phegley will address the physical and psychic tolls that the demands and rigors of the teaching profession can have on an individual. Southeast Missouri hosts Arkansas State University tonight, March 26. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. at Capaha Field. 12th Annual Cindy Gannon Walk for Women Set for April 13

Kaziska Qualifies for NCAA Baton Rouge Regional

Freshman Anna Kaziska will represent Southeast Missouri at the 2019 NCAA Women's Gymnastics Championships. Kaziska will compete in the floor exercise in the first session of the Baton Rouge Regional hosted by Louisiana State University. She is scheduled to perform her floor routine on Friday, April 5, at 2 p.m.

Kaziska Named MIC Newcomer of the Year

Anna Kaziska was named the 2019 Midwest Independent Conference (MIC) Newcomer of the Year, the league announced March 21. Kaziska garnered MIC Newcomer of the Week six times in 2019 and led the Redhawks with 11 individual event titles this season. She also registered 25 scores of 9.700 or higher.
