Farley Earns Multiple All-America Honors

Redhawks thrower Kevin Farley finished eighth in the discus and 10th in the shot put at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Farley garnered First-Team All-America accolades in the discus and was a Second-Team All-American in the shot put.

 

Lucchesi and Boggetto Selected in MLB Draft

Left-handed pitcher Joey Lucchesi became the highest draft pick from Southeast when he was selected in the fourth round by the San Diego Padres in this year’s Major League Baseball Draft. Shortstop Branden Boggetto was also drafted, going in the 25th round to the Washington Nationals.
