Polytechnic Building's Front Entrance, Portion of Parking Lot 4-14 Closed Aug. 8-9

The front sidewalk entrance and front doors to the Otto and Della Seabaugh Polytechnic Building will be closed Friday, Aug. 9. Additionally, the first row of parking (eleven spaces) in Parking Lot 4-14 west of the Polytechnic Building will be closed Aug. 8-9. For a map of these closures, click here. These closures are a result of exterior cleaning of the Polytechnic Building. During this time, entry to the building is available on the east side. Changes Announced to Employee Fee Waiver and Dependent Tuition Reimbursement Benefits

Enhancements are being implemented to the Employee Fee Waiver and Dependent Tuition Reimbursement application process. Effective with the fall 2019 semester, eligible employees will automatically be enrolled for the Employee Fee Waiver benefit when taking courses at Southeast. Applications for Online Teaching Academy's Second Cohort Due Aug. 12

Southeast Online is hosting a second cohort of the Online Teaching Academy (OTA) during the 2019-2020 academic year. OTA consists of five one-day masterclasses and a group project in the fall and spring semesters. At each masterclass, participants will hear from national leaders in online teaching and learning. There are also optional labs for greater experiential learning opportunities. Kent Library Calls for 'Banned Books' Reading Recommendations

In honor of Banned Books Week Sept. 22-28, Kent Library's theme for the September Reading Recs is "Banned Books." Recommend a book that has been unfairly censored, challenged or subject to controversy for its content. Redhawks Ranked #17 in STATS FCS Preseason Top 25

Southeast Missouri earned its highest ranking this preseason when it was rated 17th in the 2019 STATS Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) Preseason Top 25 Monday. Southeast claimed its first ranking in a STATS Preseason Top 25 Poll in program history. The Redhawks collected a total of 1,166 points by voters in the national media poll. Southeast finished the 2018 campaign at 9-4 overall and ranked 15th in the final STATS FCS Top 25. The Redhawks also ranked 19th (Athlon Sports) and 22nd (Street & Smith's) in other polls this preseason.
