New Student Lounge Open This Fall in Johnson Hall

Johnson Hall has a new student math lounge this fall in a renovated space in Room 104. The lounge features couches, chairs, bookshelves, tables and whiteboards, and power outlets, including USB outlets available for charging devices. This is the first time Johnson Hall has had a dedicated “student only” space, according to Dr. Dan Daly, interim chair of the Department of Mathematics. “This gives students a place to go between classes, work on homework individually or in groups or just simply hang out,” he said. The lounge is in space formerly occupied by a department library that has been relocated to Johnson Hall Room 116. The math lounge is open from 7 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Friday and is available to all students.
