Faculty, Staff Volunteers Needed to Help Move Displaced Dearmont Residents

Southeast faculty and staff are invited to volunteer their time to help relocate several students being displaced due to the power outage in Dearmont Hall, B-wing. Employees are asked to volunteer for two-hour shifts. Staff need to receive approval from their supervisor prior to volunteering, and will not be required to use PTO. Move dates have been set for 10 a.m.-3 p.m. today, Sept. 2; 2-7 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 7; and 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Friday, Sept. 9. Those wishing to volunteer are asked to contact the Office of Residence Life at (573) 651-2274 for details.

Redhawks Open 2016 Football Season Saturday

Southeast Missouri opens its 2016 football season at Memphis, an American Athletic Conference member, this Saturday. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. at the Liberty Bowl. The game will air live on ESPN3. All games are broadcast live on the radio at SEMO ESPN 92.9 FM and Real Rock 99.3 FM.

Tailgate with the Redhawks in Memphis

There will be a designated, reserved area in the Tan Lot for Southeast Missouri fan tailgating at Memphis. Click here for a map. Redhawk fans will be permitted to set up tents, tables, grills, etc. in this area. Gameday parking near the tailgate area is $15 per spot and is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Grills are permitted on the paved surface only.

Soccer Heads to Evansville

Southeast’s women’s soccer team, which is 4-0 this season, closes out a three-game road stretch at Evansville on Sunday. Game time is 7 p.m.

Volleyball Returns to Action

The Redhawk volleyball team heads to the UAB Blazer Classic this weekend. Southeast faces Northwestern State and host UAB on Friday, and Radford on Saturday.
