More than 70% of first-year students at Southeast Missouri State University this fall are receiving scholarship aid, thanks to the University’s new Copper Dome Scholarship Program. Veteran's Day Appreciation Luncheon Scheduled Nov. 11

The Office of Military & Veteran Services (OMVS) is hosting a free Veteran's Day Appreciation Luncheon for military and veteran students on Nov. 11 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., in the University Center's Program Lounge. No official program is scheduled, as the OMVS merely wants to express its gratitude to all who have served. Faculty and staff are asked to encourage their military-affiliated students to attend or to get a to-go box if they are headed to class or work.

Lane Reduction on Westbound Broadway at West End Blvd. Begins Today

Beginning today, Nov. 8, AT&T  reduced the westbound lane of travel on Broadway at West End Blvd. to one lane. The lane reduction will be daily between 8 a.m.-4 p.m. and will be closed for one week depending on work and weather. Drivers are urged to use extreme caution in work zones, and to consider an alternate route during this lane reduction.

Renovations for Dempster Hall's Experiential Lab Begin Nov. 11

Construction of a new Experiential Lab in Dempster Hall will begin on Monday, Nov. 11, and will continue through Dec. 13. Work will be limited to Dempster Hall Rooms 104 and 106, and the adjacent hallway. Visitors may encounter noise, dust and higher levels of pedestrian congestion in this area during the renovations. Facilities Management apologizes for any inconvenience as work is conducted to improve this area of the facility. Drill Rig on Campus Nov. 16

A contractor will be on campus Saturday, Nov. 16, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. for exploratory drilling of the roadway on the north side of the shuttle stop behind Academic Hall. The shuttle stop shall remain open and traffic on Academic Drive will not be affected. Please take precautions walking or driving near this site.
