Academic Affairs Announces Staff Restructuring


Effective Sept. 1, there will be some position changes in the Office of the Provost and Extended Studies.

Dr. Doug Koch, currently Southeast vice provost, will become Vice Provost and Dean of Graduate Studies. In addition to his current role, he will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategic plan for graduate education while fostering an intellectual environment characterized by excellence in teaching and learning and discipline-based scholarship. He will also be responsible for coordinating graduate program assessment efforts, overseeing graduate programs and standards, and advocating for graduate education to internal and external stakeholders.

Lisa Webb, currently director of Regional Site Operations, will become Director of Operations. As the Director of Operations located in the Office of the Provost, she will focus on facilitating and optimizing processes for curriculum approval and revisions, and various Graduate Studies operations. She will also be responsible for identifying strategic opportunities for continuous improvement. Chelsea Caile McNeely, currently director of Southeast Online, will become Director of Southeast Online and Dual Credit. In taking her new role, she will be responsible for managing dual credit programs at Southeast, focusing on recruiting school districts to participate in dual credit and dual enrollment, maintaining accreditation, working with high school administrators to schedule dual credit courses and supervising recruitment of high school teachers to teach dual credit coursework, as well as providing vision and support for program growth. She will continue to supervise Southeast Online’s operations of recruitment and marketing efforts, student support and program growth and development.
