Frank McGinty of Kaldi’s Coffee Coming to Catapult Creative House March 2

Frank McGinty, director of marketing and culinary development for Kaldi’s Coffee, will visit Southeast Missouri State University’s Catapult Creative House, 612 Broadway in downtown Cape Girardeau, from noon to 1:30 p.m. March 2 to speak on “Seed to Cup: The Life of Coffee.” McGinty earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Lindenwood University and a professional culinary degree from Apicius Culinary Institute in Florence, Italy. McGinty will discuss the growth of Kaldi’s Coffee over the past decade, which has occurred through a focus on quality, strategic local and international partnerships and brand management.  Kaldi’s Coffee has become an industry leader over the past decade and found its success through a focus on quality at every level, including coffee sourcing and roasting; service within cafes, food and bakery; team personnel; and experience for their guests and partners.  This growth has led to international travel and farmer partnerships, regional growth in wholesale and retail, and an ever-growing team that adheres to the values and culture of the company. Coffee tasting will also be available during the program. This event is hosted by the Southeast Missouri State University Hospitality Management Program and the Department of Management and Marketing.
