Speakers' Soapbox to be Held May 2-3

Speakers’ Soapbox, a free speech event sponsored by the Department of Communication Studies’ Speakers’ Lab and hosted by Dr. Roseanna Whitlow-Greenwood’s SC105 classes, will be held from 11 a.m-12:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, and from 8-10 a.m. and 2:30-3:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, on the Academic Hall steps. Students, faculty and staff are invited to “step up on the soapbox and speak your mind.” Speeches are limited to two minutes and must comply with the University’s public expression code of conduct. In case of inclement weather, the event will be moved to the second floor lounge in Academic Hall.
