Artwork of Graduating BFA Students to be Displayed at Southeast’s River Campus

Southeast Missouri State University’s River Campus Art Gallery is displaying work from two groups of Department of Art and Design students in the Spring 2021 Graduating Seniors Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) Exhibition on April 19-30 and May 3-14.

Opening receptions for Group 1 and Group 2 will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, April 16 and Friday, May 7, respectively. All gallery exhibitions, events and talks are free and open to the public. Face coverings will be required, and social distancing guidelines will be in place.

The Spring 2021 BFA Graduating Seniors Exhibitions will include the work of eight Southeast students, which will be on display in two groups of four artists at a time in the River Campus Art Gallery.

“The end of each semester is always an exciting time for the Department of Art and Design as we celebrate the accomplishments of our graduating BFA students,” said Justin Miller, professor of art and exhibitions coordinator. “This exhibition represents the culmination of our students’ hard work and creativity invested during their time at Southeast. The uniqueness of content and diversity of mediums is always fun to see.”

Works presented will include digital art, graphic design, painting and sculpture, representing the broad expanse of Southeast’s art and design programs and the creativity of its students.

The River Campus Art Gallery is located on the first floor of the historic Seminary Building in Room 106. River Campus Art Gallery hours are 1-4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1-7 p.m. on First Fridays.
