Dr. William Bratberg has been appointed interim chair of the Department of Leadership, Middle and Secondary Education. Bratberg will fill the chair position formerly held by the late Dr. C.P. Gause. Gause passed away in the fall of 2019. Dr. Daryl Fridley, associate dean of the College of Education, Health and Human Studies, was acting chair through the remainder of the fall term.
Bratberg has been on faculty at Southeast since 2004. He holds a Bachelor of Science in education from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh, and masters and doctoral degrees from the University of Missouri. His role at Southeast has been in middle and secondary education. A very popular instructor, he also serves as the Educational Technology Advisor.
Bratberg’s appointment will last through the end of June. A search is ongoing for a permanent chair of the department.
