‘Brighton Beach Memoirs’ Coming to River Campus


BBM Box OfficeCAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., April 16, 2014 – Neil Simon’s award-winning comedy, “Brighton Beach Memoirs,” will be performed at 7:30 p.m. April 30 to May 3 and 2 p.m. May 4 in the Wendy Kurka Rust Flexible Theatre at Southeast Missouri State University’s River Campus.

“Brighton Beach Memoirs” is a story of family, friends, and the perils and excitement of discovering love for the first time. This coming-of-age comedy follows Eugene Jerome as he grows up in Brighton Beach, N.Y.

“This is one of Neil Simon’s most charming plays about growing up, discovering love and looking for a place in the world,” said Dr. Phil Nacy, chair of the Department of Theatre and Dance. “It will be a real heart-warming evening of smiles.”

The performance includes adult content.
