Catapult Interiors will hold its grand opening celebration from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 2, on the second floor of Southeast Missouri State University’s Catapult Creative House, 612 Broadway in downtown Cape Girardeau.
The interior design business is being opened by students in Southeast’s interior design program, which is accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) and the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA). Students working for Catapult Interiors will provide commercial and residential interior design services to clients in the Cape Girardeau community.
Initial consultation will be free. After the initial consultation, clients can select from three types of services — measuring the existing room and furnishings and developing a scaled floorplan; creating a rendered 3D view of the space; and selection of finishes and furniture appropriate for the space. There is also an option for clients to request other services that are not listed on the contract.
Through Catapult Interiors, students will gain business planning and practical interior design experience that will prepare them for a career in interior design, while providing the community with high-quality interior design services at a discounted rate. All services will be supervised by Dr. Michelle Brune, professor and National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) certified interior designer, and Morgan Campbell Schmid, interior design instructor.
The first five scheduled consultation appointments will receive a $50 coupon that can be used for each service at Catapult Interiors (up to $150 off if purchasing all three services). If you cannot make it to the grand opening and are interested in scheduling interior design services for your home or business, please contact Kelli Sargent at email@example.com or Blythe Borton at firstname.lastname@example.org. Refreshments will be available during the night’s events provided by hospitality management students.
