Chamber Music Series, “Sundays At Three,”


CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Sept. 10, 2004 — The Department of Music at Southeast Missouri State University will present the first concert of its “Sundays at Three” Chamber Music series entitled “The Poet and the Queen” at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 26, in Old St. Vincent’s Church.

This concert will once again feature the group Early Music St. Louis, the renowned baroque ensemble featuring Bill Bauer on baroque violin, Jeffrey Noonan on baroque guitar, lute, and therebo, Neal Richardson on harpsichord, and vocals by Nancy Bristol.

The program, titled “The Poet and the Queen,” will feature English music of Shakespeare’s time, performed exclusively on period instruments.
