CIE Announces Winter Webinar Technology Series


CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Jan. 4 , 2011 — The Douglas C. Greene Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) at Southeast Missouri State University announces a series of free webinars for technology-based business growth.

Small businesses are encouraged to save the dates for the following webinars: “Website Considerations for Small Business Growth” on Jan. 27; “Google Tools for Small Business” on Feb. 3; and “Selling Online” on Feb. 10.

The Winter Webinar Technology Series programs will be held for one hour from noon to 1 p.m. to provide business owners the opportunity to participate over a lunch hour from the convenience of their desk at work or home.  The technology themed webinars will give valuable tips for low-budget yet creative ways to design a business website, free or low cost tools from Google to enhance a business’ internet presence and innovative ways to expand their sales revenues by selling their products online.

“Webinars are an extremely popular and efficient ways to deliver valuable information to working entrepreneurs,” said Gina Harper, coordinator of the webinars for the CIE.  “The CIE launched a series of lunchtime technology webinars last year. They were so popular, we are offering some of them again and we have added a new webinar topic, Google Tools for Small Business.”

The Winter Webinar series is funded in part by the U.S. Department of Labor Employment Training Administration.  There is no cost to participate; however, pre-registration is required.
