City of Cape Girardeau, Southeast Hosting First Annual Free Concert at River Campus


CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Feb. 22, 2008 — The City of Cape Girardeau and Southeast Missouri State University will host the First Annual Free River Campus Concert on Thursday, March 6.

The concert will bring together the University Concert Band and the Southeast Wind Symphony under the direction of Barry Bernhardt and will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the Donald C. Bedell Performance Hall in the Cultural Arts Center.

This performance will include works by Alfred Reed, Hugh Stuart, Frank Ticheli and Harold Walters. Also, the Southeast Wind Symphony will perform “Suite of Old American Dances” by Robert Russell Bennett and “The Washington Post March” by John Philip Sousa.
