Cape Girardeau, Mo., Dec. 05, 2011 – Jaime Mayfield, administrative assistant in the Department of Psychology, received an Employee Recognition Award as a Clerical/Technical employee. Her nomination falls under two of the University priorities — Academic and Student Experience, and People.
Dr. Leslee Pollina, chair of the Department of Psychology, nominated Mayfield for the award, describing her as “a wonderful face to the world for our department and for the University. This nomination specifically recognizes her efforts in performing not only her regular duties, but also in her outstanding efforts to assist students.”
According to Pollina, Mayfield has received numerous comments and emails from students regarding her helpfulness and kindness to students.
“She contributes greatly to the quality of student experiences on campus,” Pollina wrote in her nomination.
