Crisp Museum Hosting ‘Halloween at the Museum’ Oct. 19-20

The Rosemary Berkel and Harry L. Crisp II Museum at Southeast Missouri State University’s River Campus is hosting a “Halloween at the Museum” open house Oct. 19 and 20.

The Crisp Museum will be open from 1-4 p.m. both days. These events are free and open to the public.

During the open house, guests can make take-home, Halloween-themed crafts including miniature wooden jack-o’-lanterns, rag monsters and Tiki creatures. Additionally, visitors are also encouraged to bring their own pumpkin to carve, and the Museum will provide tools and patterns.

The Crisp Museum’s annual scavenger hunt will also take place, and guests can enter to win the Cauldron of Candy.

The Crisp Museum is located in the Cultural Arts Center at Southeast Missouri State University’s River Campus, located at 518 S. Fountain St. in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Museum hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday, 1-4 p.m. on weekends and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on the first Friday of the month. For more information, call (573) 651-2260 or email
