The Rosemary Berkel and Harry L. Crisp II Museum at Southeast Missouri State University’s River Campus is hosting “Halloween at the Museum” open houses Oct. 24-25 and 31.
The Crisp Museum will be open Oct. 24 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Oct. 25 from 1-4 p.m. and Oct. 31 from 1-8 p.m.
These events are free and open to the public. Face coverings will be required, and social distancing guidelines will be in place. Participants will receive individual supplies and tools, and materials are not to be shared.
During the open house, guests can make Halloween themed crafts such as miniature wooden Jack-O’-Lanterns, rag monsters, paper caskets and Tiki creatures. Additionally, visitors are encouraged to bring their own pumpkin to carve. The museum will provide carving tools and patterns Oct. 24 and 25 only.
The Crisp Museum’s third annual scavenger hunt will also take place, and guests can enter to win a cauldron of candy. “Trick or Treat” will be held on Oct. 31 and guests are invited attend in costume for the final day of the Crisp Museum’s annual scavenger hunt.
The Crisp Museum is located in the Cultural Arts Center at Southeast Missouri State University’s River Campus, located at 518 S. Fountain St. in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
