A blood drive will be held Feb. 3 at Southeast.

Jan. 28, 2010 – The Clerical-Technical-Service Employee Staff Council and the Professional Staff Council will sponsor a blood drive on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University Feb. 3.The blood drive is scheduled to take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The drive will be held in the University Center Ballroom, located on the fourth floor of the University Center.Donors may set up an appointment to donate, which are scheduled in 15-minute increments. Walk-ins are always welcome, however people with appointments will be given first priority. If you have questions about eligibility, visit http://www.redcrossblood.org/donating-blood/eligibility-requirements.Healthy individuals who are at least 17 years old and weigh 110 pounds or more are eligible to donate blood. Sixteen-year-olds with written consent from a parent or guardian are also eligible to donate. Federal regulations require whole blood donors to wait 56 days between donations. Platelet donors can donate as many as 24 times a year. Donors should remember to bring positive identification, which they will be asked to present before donating.
