CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., May 11, 2013 – William Eddleman, vice provost and dean of the School of Graduate Studies at Southeast Missouri State University, was appointed today to the River Campus Board of Managers.
The Southeast Missouri State University Board of Regents approved the appointment of Eddleman to replace Ronald Rosati who is leaving the University effective June 30. Eddleman’s term will expire Dec. 1, 2014.
The River Campus Board of Managers is composed of three representatives appointed by the University’s Board of Regents and three appointed by the Cape Girardeau City Council. At least one of the city’s appointees must be from the hotel/motel industry.
Dr. Eddleman holds the rank of professor in the Department of Biology and was the chairperson of the department from 2003 to 2011. He earned Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in fisheries and wildlife from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Ph.D. in wildlife ecology from Oklahoma State University. He was assistant and associate professor of natural resource science at the University of Rhode Island from 1988 to 1994 and is in his 19th year at Southeast.
