Enjoy signature items from more than 10 Cape Girardeau restaurants and businesses participating in the annual Restaurant Hop on April 16, benefitting The Jeanine Larson Dobbins Conservatory of Theatre and Dance at Southeast Missouri State University.
The Restaurant Hop, which takes place from 4-8 p.m., will include samplings from Gabriel’s Food and Wine, Minglewood Brewery, Ebb and Flow Fermentations, Marco’s Pizza, IMO’s Pizza, Baristas Coffee Bar, Primo Vino, Bistro Saffron, Andy’s Frozen Custard, Jimmy John’s, Sugar Chic Creamery, Mississippi Mutts and Pho 8.
Each eatery will serve its signature item, and participants can choose to go to any or all of the participating restaurants and bakeries in the three-and-a-half-hour time span. Restaurant hop participants will be directed to the tables involved at the respective restaurants, and Theatre and Dance students will assist the patrons at each restaurant. Tickets for the Hop are $10.
“The Restaurant Hop is such a fun event, and it’s been growing since its inception almost 10 years ago,” said Dr. Kenn Stilson, professor of acting and chair of The Jeanine Larson Dobbins Conservatory of Theatre and Dance at Southeast. “For less than the cost of a meal at one restaurant, you can get to sample great food from many restaurants. It’s a great deal, and it benefits a wonderful cause. All the proceeds go directly to assisting our students with professional development opportunities.”
The Theatre and Dance Society hosts the event, and all proceeds will be used to fund the annual Senior Showcase in May. The Senior Showcase is an opportunity for graduating seniors to perform in front of a variety of agents and casting directors in these two major markets.
Tickets may be purchased through Southeast’s Jeanine Larson Dobbins Conservatory of Theatre and Dance by calling (573) 651-2149 or will be available on the night of the event at the door of all participating restaurants.
