CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., March 22, 2013 — The Southeast Missouri State University River Campus Art Gallery will follow the grand “Salon des Refusés” tradition in its newest exhibit, “Everyone Wins a Trophy,” which will feature Southeast students’ wide variety of artwork.

The exhibit will be on display April 5, and a reception is scheduled for 5-7 p.m.

“Everyone Wins a Trophy” will spotlight pieces from fibers, sculpture, drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, graphic design, illustration, digital art, and photo and video projects.

“This is always a great exhibit that shows just how strong our art program is, because we can have an incredible show, even with work that was ‘refused’ from the Annual Juried Student Exhibition that will run concurrently in the Crisp Museum,” says Kristin Powers Nowlin, Gallery coordinator.

The River Campus Art Gallery is located on the first floor of the historic Seminary Building in Room 106.

River Campus Art Gallery hours are 1-5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1-7 p.m. on First Fridays. All gallery exhibitions, events and talks are free and open to the public. For more information, contact Gallery Coordinator Kristin Powers Nowlin at kpnowlin@semo.edu or (573) 651-5901.
