“Fall for Dance” will feature a variety of dance styles, from classical ballet to modern and from tap to jazz, all guaranteed to dazzle and amaze. The concert will include a brilliant dance program of wonderfully original pieces choreographed by faculty members, guest professionals and students. Artistic coordinator of the event is Marc Strauss, professor of theatre and dance.

As with previous concerts, pre-performance talks with selected student and faculty choreographers and performers will be held at 6:45 p.m. Nov. 21-23 and at 1:15 p.m. Nov. 24 in the River Campus Atrium in front of the “Inland Waterways: The Highways of our Heritage” mural. The pre-performance talks will offer audience members insights, prior to the event, into some of the pieces featured on the program.

“The concert is loaded with original works from faculty and students and a work from our special guest choreographer, Jennifer Archibald, a graduate of the world-class Alvin Ailey School and the founder and artistic director of Arch Dance Company,” said Dr. Phil Nacy, chair of the Department of Theatre and Dance. “We’re very excited to have Jennifer teach our students one of her creative and exciting pieces.”
