Feminism, Art, Women’s Health Topic of Catapult After Hours Conversation


“Stories of the Body: Feminism, Art, and Women’s Health” will be the topic of the first fall lecture of the After Hours: Conversations on Art and Culture Oct. 11 at Catapult Creative House.

The lecture is scheduled for 7 p.m. in the classroom at Catapult, 612 Broadway in downtown Cape Girardeau.

Members of the panel will be Louise Bodenheimer, graphic design professor at Southeast Missouri State University; Jessica Lambert, Bachelor of Fine Arts sculpture major at Southeast; and Jaime Mayfield, operations director at Cenet.

They will share their stories and struggles with the female reproductive system and how their views, both before and after, were shaped by feminism and art.

This panel discussion may include sensitive topics and explicit language.
