Giving Tuesday Now: Support Students Through Emergency Relief Funds

Southeast is participating in Giving Tuesday Now today, May 5 to support students facing new challenges and unexpected costs during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Around  the world, people are being faced with new challenges. Southeast students are no different. They’re transitioning to online learning, and many students and families are facing unexpected costs. In some cases, this may mean falling short on completing their education, or simply meeting everyday needs like paying rent, utility bills, buying groceries, or purchasing technology needed for online courses, or reducing the impact of additional costs associated with unforeseen priorities as they arise during the COVID-19 pandemic.

To address urgent needs, Southeast is participating in #GivingTuesdayNow to boost the emergency fund focused on providing the relief Southeast students need most now. The emergency relief fund provides aid to ensure that financial hardship does not cause a disruption in any student’s ability to pursue their education.

By choosing to donate to the emergency fund, you ensure that your contribution meets the needs students have most during this time. Your gift, no matter the size, can make a big difference in the life of a Southeast student.
