Hamblin Co-Authors New Faulkner Companion


CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Sept. 8, 2008 — Robert Hamblin, professor of English and director of the Center for Faulkner Studies at Southeast Missouri State University, is co-author of a new book on Nobel Prize-winning author William Faulkner.

Published by Facts on File, Critical Companion to William Faulkner: A Literary Reference to His Life and Work is jointly authored by A. Nicholas Fargnoli, professor of theology and English at Molloy College in Rockville Centre, N.Y.,  Michael Golay, a widely-published historian who teaches at Phillips Exeter Academy in New Hampshire, and Hamblin.

The volume includes a brief biography of Faulkner, summaries and commentaries on Faulkner’s major works, and A-to-Z entries on people, places, events and topics related to Faulkner’s fiction.  The book is a part of the Facts on File series on famous American authors.
