Due to the elimination of spring break, originally scheduled for March 15-19, the University will be open regular business hours, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. this week.
The elimination of spring break, and other important adjustments, from the Spring 2021 Academic Calendar were made to help mitigate the risk of the COVID-19 pandemic at Southeast by reducing lengthy break periods and to help continue providing a healthy and safe on campus learning environment for the entire campus community.
During spring break, staff employees typically receive five (5) hours of energy conversation hours, which is typically deducted this week. This time is factored in the staff’s normal PTO accrual. As the University will be open regular business hours, and staff will be working, this time will not be deducted from the previously scheduled week in March. Staff will keep the accrual and schedule the time as they would any other PTO hours.
