Internationally Renowned Speaker/Best-Selling Author Speaking Nov. 15 at Southeast

Delatorro McNeal II will present the keynote address for Global Entrepreneurship Week at noon Nov. 15 in Glenn Auditorium of Dempster Hall.


Nov. 1, 2010 – Professional speaker, entrepreneur, and best-selling author Delatorro McNeal II, chief executive officer and president of Delatorro Worldwide Empowerment, is scheduled to speak at noon Nov. 15 in Glenn Auditorium of Dempster Hall as part of the 2010-2011 University Speaker Series.

The event is free and open to the public.   

McNeal’s presentation also will serve as a keynote address for Global Entrepreneurship Week on the Southeast campus. Global Entrepreneurship Week is dedicated to inspiring students to embrace innovation, imagination and creativity, and to challenge them to generate new ideas and seek better ways to do things.

“We ask noted, successful entrepreneurs to come to campus and help students develop an entrepreneurial mindset as a key component of the educational experience,” said Dr. James Stapleton, executive director of the Southeast Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE), and the regional director of the event.

As a successful entrepreneur, McNeal travels the country speaking to major corporations, colleges, universities, professional associations, conventions, churches, and leadership conferences. Delatorro has been featured on national and worldwide television networks, including FOX News, NBC, BET, TBN, Daystar, Oxygen, and The Word Network as well as syndicated radio shows all across America.

McNeal is the author of five books including; Caught Between a Dream and a Job: How to Leave the 9-to-5 Behind and Step Into the Life You’ve Always Wanted, both published by Excel Books. 

He is a featured motivational expert in the 2009 entrepreneurial film, “The YES Movie,” and the winner of the 2008 Who’s Who of Business in Tampa Bay, bestowed by The Power Broker magazine. McNeal is also an active member of both the National Speakers Association and the International Federation of Professional Speakers.

McNeal, a former organization and human performance analyst at Accenture, graduated with honors from Florida State University where he received a bachelor’s degree in interpersonal and speech communications, as well as a master’s degree in instructional system design and human performance enhancement.
