IT Outlines Help Desk Operations During Telework

During this telework period, you can contact the Information Technology (IT) Help Desk via phone at (573) 651-4357 or email at helpdesk@semo.edu.  There is also a live chat option on the IT website at https://www.semo.edu/it.

Like you, most of the IT staff are working from home.  IT may need to take your contact information in order to assign someone to call you back.

After hours support will be limited to phone and email.  Email is preferred to help get your request in the system for a response.

Remote Desktop.  If you find you cannot connect to your work computer from home, your work computer may have gone to sleep or needs to be restarted. Contact the Help Desk.  IT will send someone over to your office.   Do not come to campus just to restart your computer.

While the actual office in Memorial Hall Room 107 will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, you should only visit the office if you need to bring in a computer, and you must call the Help Desk at (573) 651-4357 to schedule a time to ensure IT has someone on site and to ensure proper social distancing.
