Southeast Missouri State University student Nathaniel Jones of Festus, Missouri, was recently awarded a $10,000 scholarship from the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB).
Jones, a senior accounting major, is the first Southeast student to earn this prestigious award. PCAOB’s 2018 scholarships were awarded to students at 332 colleges and universities across the nation and are intended to encourage accounting majors to pursue careers in auditing.
Jones was also the recipient of a Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants scholarship.
Jones is secretary of Southeast’s Beta Alpha Psi Accounting Club. He is the son of Carey and Lisa Jones of Festus and is a 2016 graduate of Festus High School.
