KRCU Offering Valentine’s Day Donation Specials

To celebrate Valentine’s Day, KRCU Public Radio is offering several donation options for listeners to show their support for NPR programming in southeast Missouri, while also honoring their sweethearts the week leading up to Feb. 14.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, KRCU’s annual Valentine’s event, their highest grossing special event, will not take place this year.

“Unfortunately, we can’t hold our Valentine’s Dance again this year, so we created some safer premiums to celebrate the holiday, and hopefully make up for some of that lost revenue” said general manager, Dan Woods.

For $60, listeners can have a personalized, 15-second “Radiogram” aired three times on the date of their choice between Feb. 8-14. Listeners can select their date and message after confirming their gift to KRCU.

Another way to support KRCU for Valentine’s Day is by purchasing a gift basket from My Daddy’s Cheesecake through KRCU’s giving site. The basket will include cookies, muffins, and other sweet treats from the award-winning bakery in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Baskets must be picked up in-person Feb. 12 or 13.
