KRCU Partners with Cape Municipal Band

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., July 21, 2009 — KRCU at Southeast Missouri State University will team up with the Cape Girardeau Municipal Band at their concert on Wednesday, July 22, for an evening of great music and free ice cream.

A great lineup of music is slated for the concert, which gets under way at 8 p.m. at the band shell in Capaha Park. The band will perform the “Miami March,” “An American in Paris,” “Poet & Peasant Overture” and many more familiar favorites.

Just before the concert starts at around 7:45 p.m., KRCU staff and volunteers will be distributing free ice cream for all who attend. The ice cream is being donated by Prairie Farms.

KRCU’s Marlin McCutchan, host of “You Must Remember This,” will be the guest conductor, and General Manager Dan Woods will serve as guest announcer. Those planning to attend should bring a lawn chair and come early for ice cream.
