The Regents heard a presentation from representatives of the Lawrence Group, which has spearheaded a comprehensive University master planning process at Southeast. The Board engaged with the Lawrence Group of St. Louis, Missouri, in 2016 to complete an update of the University’s Facilities Master Plan. The process has included an assessment of academic, administrative, auxiliary and athletic/recreation facilities and related infrastructure at the main campus and regional campuses; a walk-through of University buildings for a visual inspection of conditions and to verify building plans; and meetings with University staff to receive input on current and future facilities needs for their programs. The University community also was invited to participate in a survey concerning how current spaces function today versus how they can be enhanced to meet future needs. The 2018-2028 University Master Plan Executive Summary will be available for public viewing in Special Collections and Archives in Kent Library beginning in January. Special Collections and Archives is located in Room 306 on the third floor of Kent Library. Hours are 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
