An award-winning scholar will discuss the effectiveness of health care and how health campaigns hinge upon the effectiveness of communication during the ninth annual Joseph H. Low Lecture April 14 at Southeast Missouri State University.
Abran Salazar of the University of Rhode Island will present his lecture at 7 p.m. in the University Center Ballroom. The event is open to the public and is free.
The annual Low Lecture is sponsored by the Department of Speech Communication and Theatre. The lecture was created in 1995 by Low’s mother, Mildred I. Low, through an endowment in her son’s name for the Department of Speech Communication and Theatre at Southeast. Joseph H. Low is professor emeritus of speech communication and theatre at Southeast.
