CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.,
July 18, 2008 – The Department of Recreation Services at Southeast Missouri State University has announced that Lauren Lubiewski, a Southeast senior from St. Ann, Mo., has been named the “Recreation Services Employee of the Month” for July.
The Employee of the Month award is given to student employees working within the Department of Recreation Services at Southeast. The award recognizes outstanding achievement with student employees and their ability to go beyond normal duties.
Lubiewski, an organizational leadership major, is being awarded for her continuing work within the intramural sports program, facilities work, and most recently, her work as an administrative staff member for the Redhawks Kids Camp. Her role this summer has been providing leadership to counselors and children ages 5-14 within the camp. She also has been actively involved in the camp’s budget, in addition to working closely with aspects of the camp’s programming.
Jennifer Rose, coordinator for the Redhawks Kids Camp, said, “She is very worthy and has done an outstanding job this summer with the camp.”
Lubiewski received a Recreation Services duffle for her outstanding work.
