Former Southeast star wide receiver Paul McRoberts signed as a free agent with the newly-moved Los Angeles Rams after the 2016 NFL Draft on Saturday, April 30. A native of St. Louis, Missouri, McRoberts will head to California to get settled in before organized team activities and rookie minicamp begins. Scouts from 18 different NFL teams attended McRoberts’ pro day in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, on April 7, but the Rams were not present. They brought McRoberts to Los Angeles for a visit shortly after that. All 32 NFL teams showed interest in McRoberts at some point leading up to this year’s draft. He was the first Southeast player invited to the Reese’s Senior Bowl, where he finished with four catches for 46 yards and a touchdown this year.
