CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Jan. 20, 2015- The River Campus Art Gallery of Southeast Missouri State University will host the Monumental Ideas/ Intimate Scale: A National Juried Exhibition beginning Feb. 2.
An artist talk is scheduled from 4-5 p.m. Feb. 6, and a reception will follow from 5-7 p.m. in the River Campus Art Gallery. The exhibition will remain on display through Feb. 26.
The exhibition is juried by Benjie Heu, professor of art at Southeast, and features artists from across the country. Each piece is restricted to a nine inch-by-nine inch-by-nine inch size. There is, however, no restriction on the media used.
“We expect to show works in many different media,” said Kristin Powers Nowlin, gallery coordinator. “It is a great opportunity for our students to see work by professional and/or student artists from around the country.”
The River Campus Art Gallery is located on the first floor of the historic Seminary Building in Room 106.
