Kayla Moore of Advance, Mo., has been named Recreation Services Student Employee of the Month for January.

Feb. 9, 2010 – Kayla Moore of Advance, Mo., has been named Recreation Services Student Employee of the Month for January at Southeast Missouri State University. Moore is one of a very few freshman to win this award from the Department of Recreation Services.A nursing major at Southeast, Moore began working for the department just after fall 2009 classes began. She is employed in the operation center and works many early mornings on the 5:30 a.m. opening shift in the SRC-North. “Moore usually drives from her home near Advance, Mo. to reach the SRC-North that early for work,” said Troy Vaughn, director of Recreation Services. “She always has a smiling face and is very helpful to all patrons as they enter the facility.”The Recreation Services Student Employee of the Month is the highest achievement award given to a Recreation Services student employee for going “above and beyond” the normal call of duty to assist the program, patrons and users of the recreational facilities.
