Museum Hosting ‘Family Day: Inside Out’ Nov. 21

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Nov. 12, 2009 — The Rosemary Berkel and Harry L. Crisp II Museum at Southeast Missouri State University’s River Campus will host Family Day: Inside Out from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21.

Visitors are invited to drop by the Crisp Museum for hands-on art activities, including painting skies, clouds and landscapes. Paintings can be combined with 3D block structures to make an inside out art creation.

Those participating may also explore the fine art exhibition “Ron Clayton: Retrospective.” Many of the large paintings in this exhibit depict the natural world through colorful architectural structures with layered surfaces and realistic depth.

This exhibition spans 20 years of painting by Southeast Missouri State University’s painting professor Ronald Clayton. A beautiful catalogue of the exhibition is available for purchase.

This event is free and open to the public. For more information, visit or call (573) 651-2260.

The Crisp Museum is located on Southeast Missouri State University’s River Campus, at 518 S. Fountain, in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
