CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.,
Nov. 10, 2006 – Ned Waugaman will visit Southeast Missouri State University for the second time Nov. 16 to present “The ABC’s of Life.”
The program, sponsored by the Department of Communication, is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. in the University Center Indian Room. The public as well as the campus community are invited to attend.
Waugaman graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in social science, business and economics from St. Mary’s College of Maryland and was later inducted into The Society of Distinguished Alumni. Waugaman also has a bachelor of science degree in information systems management from the University of Maryland.
“The ABC’s of Life” was first developed when his oldest daughter (now in college) was in the third grade. The program is a motivational and inspirational program focusing on attitudes and behaviors resulting in consequences.
Waugaman has been traveling and presenting this program for the past 10 years. He has spoken in New York City, Puerto Rico, Toronto, St. Louis and now, once again, Cape Girardeau. He has spoken to classrooms of kindergarteners, service and work teams, and at graduation ceremonies. Waugaman enjoys conveying his thoughts of self-esteem, goal setting and how to maintain a positive mental attitude in school and in life through puppetry, magic and juggling.
