The Newswire is excited to bring you a new submission form that will make it easier for faculty and staff to submit their upcoming campus events and information. The goal is provide a better experience and organized format for Newswire submissions.
Faculty and staff who would like to have announcements considered for inclusion in the Newswire should visit http://news.semo.edu/newswire-submission-form/ and enter their item and contact information, and click “Submit” at the bottom of the page. This form can also be found by visiting the Southeast News Bureau website, and clicking ‘Newswire Submission Form’ on the right-hand side.
Submissions are encouraged to be kept to less than 125 words.
If you have emailed your announcement to Ann Hayes, News Bureau director, or the Newswire email before today, Friday, Nov. 11, your announcement has already been scheduled and you will not have to resubmit it in this new form.
The Southeast Newswire will continue to be delivered to your email box on Tuesdays and Fridays during the academic year and on Wednesdays during the summer. Newswire submission deadlines will continue to be noon on Monday for Tuesday’s Newswire and noon on Thursday for Friday’s Newswire. The summer deadline is noon on Tuesday for Wednesday’s Newswire. Submissions after these deadlines will be postponed until the next scheduled Newswire.
Most items will only be published once, making the content fresh and the length manageable. Because items will not regularly be repeated, posts in previous editions can be accessed from an archive available at the bottom of the Newswire.
